  • Yahoo league: RP with SP eligibility

Hey, folks. Was wondering about using a 'strategy' of rostering one or two guys that have RP/SP eligibility...and throwing them into the SP slot when I don't have any starters going that day. The thought is to use them for ratios and K's, as opposed to having a dead spot in the lineup. Anybody on this list merit consideration? Thanks.

    Mike Montgomery - Cubs
    Bud Norris - StL
    Robert Gsellman - Mets
    Jordan Lyles - SD
    Jordan Hicks - StL
    Hector Velazquez - Bost

Mike Montgomery would be at the top of my list. Not only could you flip him into a SP slot when it's open, if the Cubs have any SP injuries or issues, he may well become their #5 SP, and you could use him in a RP slot if needed.

Norris would be a good, proven pickup. Hicks has high upside, but more risk.
I'm just here for the baseball.
