Legendary Phillies & White Sox slugger Dick Allen died yesterday at age 78.
I had the pleasure of speaking with him a few times in the early 1990s, as he had an account at the mutual fund I worked for and he would call in to check on his account. RIP.

Phil Linz, a middle infielder for the NY Yankees who won 3 World Series titles with them in the 1960s, died at age 81.
I had the pleasure of meeting Linz, along with Whitey Ford & Joe Pepitone, at a dinner I hosted back in 2004. RIP.
