  • 2K18: Adam Eaton

Injury wrecked his and his owners dreams for 2017.

Probably paid full price at the auction based on upward projections from 2016. If you still own him do you keep him or put him back?

What do you project for him in 2018?

I love him this year, and I think the projections are your friend if you want him in 2018. He was a 700+ PA player in 2015 & 2016, but with his early season injury last year, most projection systems are giving him 100-150 less PAs. Since he's an accumulator who needs those huge PAs to have value, I think you can scoop him up a few rounds (or dollars) cheaper in 2018.

I project him for similar to his '15-'16 totals:
    .286/95/14/57/15 w/a .360 OBP

I paid $18 for him in NL 12-team 5x5 last year and was surprised he didn't go for more
went for it, and no rebuilder saw him as a possible chip

fine by me; unless he has a setback, I'm happy to own him at that price again in 2018
finished 10th in this 37th yr in 11-team-only NL 5x5
      own picks 1, 2, 5, 6, 9 in April 2022 1st-rd farmhand draft
      won in 2017 15 07 05 04 02 93 90 84

      SP SGray 16, TWalker 10, AWood 10, Price 3, KH Kim 2, Corbin 10
      RP Bednar 10, Bender 10, Graterol 2
      C Stallings 2, Casali 1

He went for $26 last year NL only 5x5 12 team.

I doubt he is kept, but I hope so.

I took over a team last year in a team with many keepers (not sure how many yet). I still won the league so Eaton coming back is gravy.

          Ottawa Triple Eh's | P.I.M.P.S. | 14 team keep forever
          Champions 16,21 | Runner up 17,19-20

The FOS (retired) | MTARBL | 12 team AL 5x5
          Champions 01,05,17 | Runner up 13-15,20

This guy is so brittle. He gets some ankle nick, the Nats say it's nothing serious, then 3 weeks on the DL later they say there's still discomfort and his return is not imminent. Xander Bogaerts and Eugenio Suarez both came back from broken bones quicker, lol.
