Gonzalez, who may now be my favorite player, also had this condolence for Mitch Moreland, who lost a grand slam:

I'm just glad it's finally raining in Texas, for reasons nothing to do with baseball. We missed out rain in my neighborhood from the storm system that was in the DFW area last night, but we're getting rain this morning, and it is very needed.

Another Mitch owner here who was fairly ticked off the game was called but as a baseball fan think Gio's comments were awesome.

As an aside though, it's not clear to me why they just don't pick up where things left off. Just seems that wiping the slate clean is a bit revisionist.
