He will still be 20 years old on opening day, but he already has a cup of java on his resume. Will he come north with the team or go back to AA or AAA for more regular PT? Isd he always going to be in the shadow of Ronald Acuna, who is 7 months younger?

I hate comparisons for guys this young, but Andrew McCutchen is bright one. Three more cautionary favorable comps are Carlos Gomez, Franklin Gutierrez, and Carl Crawford. Less favorable comps include Ruben Mateo and Alex Escobar. The Gomex, Gutierrez, Crawford cluster is an interesting study in contrasts--late bloomer, steadily useful but vaguely disappointing, and boom followed by bust.

This assumes Eaton is back full strength. That said, fair enough.

Does that make Robles the first injury call up? Eaton or Harper could cover 1B, so an injury to Zimmerman might work as well. Any three of this bunch can shag the flies.

Yeah, I would assume he’s the next man up if a full-time slot opens, but I think he’ll be at AAA and not with the big club until that happens.

That's my read. There could be time in service issues too.

He will be Harper's replacement when he leaves next year. Or before the trade deadline if the Nats are not in the hunt.

Great for keeper re-builders or dynasty leagues.
