AL only 5x5 will go to On base percentage next year. $260 budget. We can keep 10-14 players depending on where we finish in the standings.

I am rebuilding.

One of the top 3 have offered Jose Ramirez to me. Here is the deal:

He offered Ramirez 35A, Yolmer Sanchez 2A, and Nate Karns 2A for my Kimbrel 28A, Whit Merrifield $14 done after next year, and Skaggs 10B.


I am leaning against no but thought I would post it and get your thoughts.

I am thinking about countering with Gattis 9B in place of Merrifield. I would also appreciate your input on this.

As a point of reference Trout went for 62 and Altuve 61 in this years auction.


I do have 6 cheap keepers and a bunch of rookie status players so a bit of salary is not a big deal.

Oof, that's a lot of dough for Ramirez. I think he was a keeper in my 10-team AL-only with OBP but I'm guessing he would've gone for maybe $30 otherwise. Although he has taken another step this year, that's not exactly the kind of keeper I'd be giving up big pieces for. Are there no minor leaguers or cheap youngsters you could go after?
