  • Brinson?

Am in full rebuild mode in our NL only 5x5 league (12 teams). Very few teams have attractive pieces to move, and I've already landed some good ones. Was offered Lewis Brinson (he's $12 year 1) for Ian Desmond ($28 year 1) and Mike Foltynewicz ($12 year 1). Any reaction?

I view Desmond and Folty as possible keepers for next year. Neither quite as good as I had hoped, but workable. I might be able to deal Desmond and someone besides Folty (with no keeper value). But not sure if it's a good move or not. Desmond is under a new 5-year deal in COL. Reynolds can't keep this up, can he? Brinson has strong prospect pedigree, though he sure struggled in his first cup of coffee. I want to "buy low", but am finding it hard to do so in this case.

Seems fair to me and Brinson is still a Top 10 prospect.

I would shop Desmond but not Folty. Right now Folty more likely to earn $12+ next year.

Desmond for Brinson straight up seems fair given their price tags.

I'm not even a big Folty fan, but I'd try and find an alternative player to add to Desmond. That'd be a good buy low.

Desmond and Folty at those prices would be fair, I think given Brinson's less than impressive start, you could pull off a slight underpay.
I'm just here for the baseball.
