  • Should I regret convincing Mith to stay in the league?

    13 team, 5x5, $300 auction budget

    currently in 2nd place behind Mith (104 - 97.5)

48.5 points in hitting and 49 in pitching

Hoping to get some honest evaluation from the pen.

    C - R Martin (draft)
    1B - L Morrison (FA)
    2B - LeMahieu (keeper)
    SS - Correa (keeper)
    3B - Beltre (draft)
    OF - Sano (keeper)
    OF - Hamilton (draft)
    OF - Dyson (draft)
    OF - Bautista (draft)
    U - Andrus (draft)
    U - Souza (FA)
    Bench - Bruce (draft)
    Bench - Frazier (keeper)
    Bench - C Taylor (FA)

    SP - Carrasco (keeper)
    SP - C Martinez (keeper)
    SP - Kluber (draft)
    SP - Quintana (draft)
    SP - Severino (FA)
RP - Betances (acquired in trade when Chapman went down)
RP - Giles (pre-season trade and keeper)
    P - Norris (FA)
    P - Odorizzi (draft)
    Bench - Pomeranz (draft)
DL - Chapman (pre-season trade and keeper)

I'm first in runs and SB and 4 RBIs out of 1st place in that category. HR and RBI are bunched.
I'm second in Ks and WHIP but 1st place team in Ks is projected at 58 innings over limit so he is catchable.

    Thanks!

    Yes, you should.
In the best of times, our days are numbered, anyway. And it would be a crime against Nature for any generation to take the world crisis so solemnly that it put off enjoying those things for which we were presumably designed in the first place, and which the gravest statesmen and the hoarsest politicians hope to make available to all men in the end: I mean the opportunity to do good work, to fall in love, to enjoy friends, to sit under trees, to read, to hit a ball and bounce the baby.

For a 13-teamer, that offense seems to be on the weak side. Hamilton AND Dyson is overkill, as is having Andrus as one of your UTILs. We all know LoMo won't keep this up, so he's another potential issue. I'm amazed you're only 4 RBIs out of 1st, what with Hamilton, Dyson and Martin contributing little.

Your staff looks fine to me. Quintana will rebound.

I'd try to move Dyson and/or Andrus to get some power.

You didn't even mention LeMahieu who also provides very little in the power department.

I'm amazed that this team can be doing well on offense in a 13 team league, especially one that only rosters 12 hitters, which makes it even more shallow. Are the other owners just leaving in players who are on the DL or something?

Absolutely not. No team has a DL player in a starting slot. Mag's team is even in the middle of the pack in number of games played by his starters, so it isn't like his players have played more games than the other teams. Maybe he is just lucky

BTW, Andrus is on pace for around 90 RBI.
