  • buxton wishes he could become...

Or should I write "buxton owners" wish Byron could become what former Minnesota Twin Aaron Hicks is providing this season. Hicks, once a highly rated prospect who drew walks and stole bases, has finally broken through in his age 27 season. At approximately the one third point in the season, Hicks has 8 home runs, 7 stolen bases, 30 rbi, 29 runs and the biggie, more walks than strike outs (28-27).

I think the break though is real. And with the Yankee's loaded in the outfield with big contracts, established players and young players on the rise (ellsbury, gardner, judge, frazier, fowler), Aaron is providing enough stats to insure he gets regular at bats...

Hicks has had months like this before, and he's always fallen back. He may not do so this time, but I'm unconvinced.

When he's 27, Buxton's career at that point will far surpass anything that Hicks could dream of...
