  • Dodger Closer offer with Borxton out

Does Kuo get the job? As a Broxton owner, I was offered Kuo for Adam LaRoche in my NL only. I'm leaning towards not taking it, although LaRoche's injury bothers me. Thanks

Laroche hasn't done anything this year, so I would probably make that deal, assuming you have a competent enough backup for LaRoche.

I wouldn't do it. It looks like Padilla is the closer right now, not Kuo.

Padilla has been "announced" as the guy.

          It's Vicente "Magilla" Padilla...

Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said Vicente Padilla will handle save chances in Jonathan Broxton's absence.
Hong-Chih Kuo would normally make the most sense, but he's just getting over a case of the yips and hasn't been especially sharp over his first two appearances since returning from the disabled list. Meanwhile, Padilla has allowed one run on two hits over six innings since making his season debut on April 23. Broxton could be sidelined for a month or more, so check your waiver wire, if you haven't already. Source: Dylan Hernandez on Twitter May. 6 - 6:13 pm et

It's Padilla for now, but I would think Kuo would take over once he proves he's healthy and sharp. Unless you have a pretty good replacement for LaRoche I wouldn't do the deal though, too risky.
