Keuchel
McHugh
McCullers (if healthy)
Morton (if healthy and effective)
Mike Fiers (if effective)
So that's 5 relatively established guys. And then you've got your David Paulino, your Francis Martes, your Chris Devinski and I guess a little bit of Brad Peacock?
I know no team goes through a season with only 5 starters. It just seems like there's a lot of speculation on Devinski, Paulino and Martes despite there being no place to put them. Who do you have coming out of this mess of 6-7-8 guys as usable SPs?
For the top 5, McHugh actually has good numbers behind the scenes (Ks, ground balls, exit velocity, etc). McCullers has all the stuff but none of the control or health. Morton could be anything. I wouldn't bet much on Fiers. I haven't heard much about Keuchel and don't expect another ace level season, but can he put together a 200 inning, 1.15 WHIP, 3.40 ERA season?
