13 team mixed, 5x5..Can only keep 5..No contract extensions. Very competitive league..(Cespedes prob go for at least $33) Feel like I have a tough decision and could really use some advice...Here are my options..

You have some cheap kids with upside, but in a 13 team league, I'd play it safe and simple and just keep the best guys you have at the best prices.

Edit: Tanaka over Keuchel might be the right play, especially with the extra year you can keep Tanaka, but his arm scares me enough to go with Keuchel, who I think has a decent bounce back season.

In a 12-14 team mixed, I don't. The options are pretty much plentiful. Add in that Tanaka's arm could fall apart at any time, and I take the five hitters every time. All that said, Tanaka isn't a bad keep at 7. I just prefer the other five ahead of him.

Does final year of contract mean you have to keep them?

I keep Villar and K Davis if you only get 2 more.

If you get any 5, I keep Villar, Davis, Pollock, Cain, Tanaka. Would not argue with Cespedes (though if you think he goes 33, that's not bad inflation) or Travis or even Margot.

Yeah, I am with you on that philosophy in general. Still, I was going to post keeping Tanaka as he is great value and a good keep. After reading your picks I think I changed my mind and am agreeing to go in without pitching.
