  • RJEL Keepers, Part Deux

    18 team, 5x5 w/OBP

I'm likely not a contender this season after surprisingly being one the last two seasons -- oh, and finishing just out of the money both times, yet having traded my 1st round pick which ended up being the #1 overall pick both years.

I need to pick my final two keepers:

    DEFINITES
    3B Bryant 6A
    OF J. Bradley 8A
    OF Duvall 1A
    OF Grichuk 4A

    SP deGrom 12 '18
    SP Matz 6 Zero
    SP R. Hill 2A
    RP Familia 1B

    POSSIBLES (Pick 2)
    1B Trumbo 24A
    1B Gurriel 18A
    OF D. Peralta 3A
    OF C. Gonzalez 32B
    SP Pineda 17A
    RP Kintzler 2A

I think I'm going with Kintzler and deciding between Trumbo and Peralta for the final spot. Who would you go with?

You can afford to have Trumbo...and Kinzler is fine, but I don't expect him to hold the job all year, but for 2 bucks, if you get 10 saves, you're well ahead of the game.

If you don't expect to compete, I'd keep Trumbo because he's a relatively cheap player who will be a good trading chip.
If DMT didn't exist we would have to invent it. There has to be a weirdest thing. Once we have the concept weird, there has to be a weirdest thing. And DMT is simply it.

I think Peralta will profit more, but Trumbo is probably the better keeper. Best to be insulated from HR scarcity.

Just for fun, what did the past 2 years # 1 picks end up being? Make yourself nuts, and imagine those 2 on your team. Carry on.
