Never been there but if you are staying at a hotel in Arizona i've read that you should check the room(s) to make sure that you aren't sharing it with a scorpion.“Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe.”

All the stadiums are in the immediate Phoenix area, so you can get to any game you want to see w/i an hour or so or less. The east side (Scottsdale side) is the more upscale area so better for nightlife, restaurants, etc, so you might want to stay there. There also are casinos there, if you're into that. Of the stadiums I've been to, the one at Surprise was nicest. Peoria was nice and I liked the Scottsdale one also altho it's older. I havent seen the newest ones (Goodyear, Salt River).
Have a great time, as I'm sure you will!
Bonus for me as my Alimony ends in 2 days so I have 900 dollars a month extra play money!!!!!
I think one of the Games is a Cub - Tribe Game.

If you like tumbleweeds and closed-up stores at night, Phoenix is the place for you!
otherwise, Scottsdale. their Old Town theme reminds me of the Church Street Station tourist trap that Orlando used to have, but hey you're tourists.
I was in Peoria 20 years for Mariners and some other team ST, but spent a week in FL once for that spring training. either way, the fans there are all in a good mood and it's interesting for a bit even for non-baseball fans to see how the athletes work. VERY relaxed atmosphere. I'd try one game and see if anyone else enjoys it enough for a second one.
Desert drives out there are pretty cool (and hot). I have mentioned before there is native American history there if that appeals.
oh, there are more Bears+Packers+Cowboys+Giants fans out there than Cardinals fans, so look for friendly Bears caps
finished 10th in this 37th yr in 11-team-only NL 5x5
own picks 1, 2, 5, 6, 9 in April 2022 1st-rd farmhand draft
won in 2017 15 07 05 04 02 93 90 84
SP SGray 16, TWalker 10, AWood 10, Price 3, KH Kim 2, Corbin 10
RP Bednar 10, Bender 10, Graterol 2
C Stallings 2, Casali 1

They are all Baseball fans - just not fantasy fans.
Youngest Brother live in Calf - but still a die hard Indians , Cavs and Browns fan. Sister lives in Boston - Also die hard Cleveland fan with 2ndary love for Redsox and Pats. Second brother and me still live in Ohio . So it is a Get all four Living Siblings ( there was a 5th) Get together and we decided on ST. The sister is the only one who has gone to ST in the Past, but it has been on my bucket list.
The Plan is attend the day game and play it by ear for the night games.
One day while we are out there the Tribe is playing a game in front of the Native Indians. My understanding is they are the only ones allowed at the game that day. So no chief Wahoo hats that day.

Baseball related::::
Saw Indians - Rockies game .
Brantly - looked good swung the bat really well - look pretty healthy to me!!!!!
Abe Almonte- played right field instead of chisinhall. Went 3 for 3 and hit ropes. I could see his playing time going up this year. Stashed on my bench as backup to Brantly and maybe breakout player
Kluber- still the Klubot went 7 looks ready for the start of the season.
Bradly Zimmer - he is 1 tall lanky player
For Rockies- no T. Story
Jordan Patterson- look good on first and even tho he got no hits Stung the baseball. My guess he will start the season on the club with Desmond hurt.

Day 2- Tribe vs Cubs
Sloan park (Cubs park) really nice - roof over the top to keep this white pasty ass guy from burning. Pack house - sold out 15000 plus!!!! Everyone including Huey Lewis and Jimmy Kimmel who sang take me out to the ball game in the seventh inning stretch and called it World Series game 8 a little disappointed when only Rizzo and Heyward played for the Cubs and Rameraz and chisinhall for tribe.
Tribe won 4 - 2 . had a blast all game cheering wildly in a throng of Cub fans!!!!
