2K17 AL Only Keepers

This happens with all of the positions as the auction progresses. So while it is nice to be able to do that, I wouldn't let in affect me too much.

I suspect that this will be the last year that Mondesi will be a bargain. It seems that there are always pitching bargains to be found.

Right now I'm leaning towards keeping Mondesi and either trading Paxton for a pick in the minor league draft (I can get the 13th pick which is the first pick in the the second round a $5 minor leaguer or a first round pick in next years draft $10 minor leaguer) or tossing him back and trying to get him back at the auction.

Love the Kluber trade.
Paxton represents much greater value than Mondesi, IMO, particularly if you're making a run this year (which you are!)

Not that anyone cares... I kept Mondesi (looking better now that he's the starter). The thing with Paxton, that I might not have made clear is that he is $10 for just this year, all F players can only be kept one year and can't be given a contract extension. If I could have kept him past this year his value would have gone up considerably. I traded him for the 13th overall pick in the minor league draft, the first pick in the second round. The price for that prospect is $5 ($10 for the first rounders) and I feel like I can trade that pick for a pitcher similar to Paxton during the season and I still have Mondesi.

Good move. Mondesi's value just shot up when he was named as starter, speed is in short supply. Paxton came out of nowhere last year, another SP will do it again this year.

This is what a team should look like. Lots of power, decent speed, 2 aces, 2+ closers. You may need replacements if Gray/Pom aren't healthy but you stuck the dismount on this auction.

I picked up Erasmo Ramirez and Shane Greene for now plus Boone Logan (Paulino is also on the DL). Now I need to find someone for Osuna.

My minor league prospects are:

I think that was a good haul for not having a first round pick.
