well, the AL East is getting really interesting: as of today the O's have slipped to third place; dog days of August setting in. Jays in first with the Red Sox 1 game back ... no disrespect to O's fans but I can see this going down to the wire between these two teams (I just don't think Balt has the starting pitching to hang in there) ... so I checked the calendar for head to head series - the Sox are in Toronto for 3 in mid-Sept, and then the Jays finish the season with 3 in Boston on the last weekend of the season. I wonder if I can pull off a weekend road trip ...
NL West is tight, but it seems most of the other races are close to getting decided, it's all about the wildcards ... all other leads are at least 6 games.
