Going for it, trade Moncada/Ozuna for Trout (keeper league)?

I'm in contention. Could def. use AVG, OBP and steals uptick...nice that it also comes with Trout's HR power, Runs and RBI. I'm already keeping Correa and Trea Turner next 2 years, and was planning on keeping Moncada as my third keeper (we can only keep three) and dominating the infield for next 2 years...but an out of contention team has Trout (non-keeper elig.) and said he'd deal him for Ozuna (also keeper eligible, but I was throwing him back) and Moncada.

If Trout is the diff. between possible title and finishing 4th/5th would you do this, even if it means losing arguably the top prospect yet on his way? Thanks!

Contention or not. In a keeper league I make that deal all day long. This assumes Trout is a keeper next year and not an expiring contract.

If Trout is done, and I knew I had a chance of winning with the downside as 2nd place I would still pull the trigger. If it was a long shot at first with high possibility of 2nd probably not.

Agreed. I'd go for it. You still have a strong core in Correa and Turner for future years.

I like that...it's not like Xander is a huge step down from Correa, basicly you lose some steals and a little power, and gain average. And moncada will more than help make up for the loss in steals.
