As I mentioned I am too close to the situation. I was trying to gauge the general opinions of the board for Story against Dahl as a stand alone for general fantasy purposes.
In my league dynamics I was planning on getting more than Story for Dahl in the form of a non keeper (too high of price). Then flipping that high priced player to a contender for another keeper. As it turned out that non keeper was traded before I made up my mind. I was still able to turn some of my fringe players into the other targeted keeper and still get to retain Dahl.
So now I would rather have Dahl and the extra 11 bucks than Story. Plus it keeps my UT spot open (would have had to put Story in UT). The open UT spot is very valuable to my auction strategy.

Dahl is a great player, and Ii'm looking forward to seeing him in action in the majors, but to expect 30 sbs from him is unrealistic. He has never stolen more than 22 in a season in the minors, and while he is a 5 tool athlete with good speed, he does not have exceptional speed. 20/20 is a much more realistic expectation/hope. He is not an elite power or speed player, but he should put up across the board good numbers.

You said "he may get close." Close is good. I wouldn't be disappointed if he had 17 hr and 26 or 28 sbs.
If he gets 125 abs this year (and I think he will) he will be $5 next year and the year after if I don't extend him. If he doesn't get 125 abs he is free next year (much preferred).
I understand he could be a bust and not even get me a profit. It is the nature of our game. Heck I am one that normally trades off rookies for more experienced vets. I traded Dahl twice in the last two years. This time I am going to keep him...I think.
