Pirates optioned RHP Jameson Taillon to Triple-A Indianapolis.
Taillon allowed three earned runs over six innings in his major league debut Wednesday against the Mets, taking a no-decision in the Pirates' eventual 6-5 loss. The talented young right-hander should get another shot by the end of the month. Pittsburgh just needed a fresh bullpen arm. Taillon has registered a stellar 2.04 ERA and 61/6 K/BB ratio in 61 2/3 innings (10 starts) this season with Triple-A Indianapolis.
