Being in two leagues where owner evaluation is no where close to each other is driving me batshit.

Both leagues are similar and the owners for the most part savvy.

However the variance in how they trade is mind-boggling in difference.

I think it might drive me to drink...... Even more than I already do.

Even seemingly small differences in league set up can alter player values. Is one league bigger than the other, does it allow for more or less keepers, more or less minor leaguers?

I don't even bother posting some trade options for my long time 14 team mixed league, because with expanded rosters, 20 man minor leagues, 15 major league keepers, and a salary cap of $400, the value assigned to top tier prospects (because they can be kept longer, for relatively less than in most leagues) is so much higher than it is elsewhere, it would be hard for others to wrap their heads around it, unless they play in a dynasty league with large caps.

Is this just because I won't give you Pomeranz for cheap?

the variance in RJEL alone is wide. some people find my hyper attitude to be over the top but i have little use waiting when many in the league wont make an offer at all. in the day of smart phones, you see what i am offering close to immediately. if you have an interst, express it. . valuations of plaers are always going to vary. nothing can be done about that. i will be told lowball offers are a starting point but if i get an offer thats not close i dont feel the need to counter or negotiate.

You evaluate Drew fairly, those in RJEL need a chart or something other than their wits to glean his value. I used your charts and still got the same bullshit in return.

yeah this won't get me much in the way of favor in dealing, but shit. I've watched some of these guys dump load for less than I've offered. makes me wonder if this is why Wayne bailed.................

I can say with 100% certainty that making offers, good or bad, is not why Wayne left, lol. I think he made like one or two trades in the 5 years he was in the league.

Why don't you give us some examples of the offers you made that you're shocked were turned down?

You still have yet to make me an offer this season...waiting patiently though.

And just what is a "fair" evaluation of Pomerantz? I'm curious...

Maybe this is why you're frustrated: your offer was actually for DeGrom and a 6A Bryant, and yeah, that's a terrible offer, lol!

I run things through a dollar value earned algorithm similar to those free ones on the net, not sharing mine, but it's pretty similar in results.

It contains the parameters for all my leagues and calculates earned dollar value for that league.

Pomerantz has earned $16 to date

Other earned amounts for my team are Nolan $34 Cano $32

I offered a $31 value player for a $16, was countered with choices of a $15 or a player in negative valueland.

But honestly it's not this deal that's made me itchy, it's the disparate evaluation of some owners vs other.

there ARE owners who deal fairly, but maybe I'm just tired of getting bushwhacked.

                      It's all good, just venting.

Can you name the $31 player and the two in the counter? Valuations this early in the season are kind of meaningless, so it would be far more helpful to know who they are -- so we know if there's any chance they'll keep up this pace or not.

It is all nice a player has earned $30 to date but when trading, I only care about what I think the player might earn going forward. Not saying the trade was fair or unfair, just saying the other side might not have the high hopes for the future.

No doubt there would be regression on both players, including Pomerantz
