What more does this guy have to do? Is he that horrific with his glove because this kid just keeps raking. With 4 HR and 10 RBI in his last 4 games, his OPS is up to 1.062 and its not like its a hot streak as he has hit for years. If the D-Backs have no intention of playing him, why not trade him? He must have value to another team.

They need to bring him up, obviously, but I think the catcher experiment slowed him down a bit, by maybe two years. So, if he was a 23-year old OFer, it wouldn't feel so much like he was getting jerked around. He'd be, basically, Hunter Renfroe.
I would guess it won't be long before he's up to stay.
But then, is there really any understanding how the DBags value their youngsters?

OBrien is 25 y/o old the longer they hold him in AAA the more likely he is to be tagged a AAAA type player. I would be keen to know what others think fair value is for him?"Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake."

They need to shop him around to AL teams and get the best possible return they can get. They are wasting him in AAA and I don't think they will ever have an opening for him in the OF. He's a poor man's Schwarber, and pretty much in hype only, because the numbers are similar, as is the defensive career path, albeit O'Brien is two years older. Some people say winning isn't everything. Doesn't matter if Pollack is done this year or not, barring injury, there's just no slot for O'Brian no matter how much you wish it to be."Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake."

As for O'Brien, its just another example of the Backs being a badly run organization when a commodity that could help their team either by playing or by bringing someone else back in a deal that could help them toils in the minors. There have been a heck of a lot of no glove and big bat players do just fine in the majors but hey I am sure that sizzling career .600 OPS and 1.8 WAR (which is at 0.4 this season so far) is just to enticing to pass up for you and the DBacks. After former Broncos quarterback Brian Griese sprained his ankle and said he was tripped on the stairs of his home by his golden retriever, Bella: “The dog stood up on his hind legs and gave him a push? And whether Pollock is back in 3-4-5 months or not at all isn't relevant to O'Brian's situation, other than the fact that even injured, he's in the way of your fellow Peter."Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake."
