  • Is Salty sweet? (Get it? See what I did there? hello? Anyone?....)

I have Yan Gomes, who is what he is: a C with maybe 20 HR pop, mid .200's AVG and .300 or below OBP. Salty is killing it, and only has 7 fewer ABs than Gomes so far. I know Salty is playing over his head right now, but he's in a better offense and seems locked in...worth dropping Gomes and riding the hot hand?

not unless you want to be stuck holding an empty bag when McCann comes back in a couple weeks.

Yeah, I held off dropping Norris for Salty for the same reason....

In my 12-team, one catcher league, I cut Norris for him. Once McCann comes back, I'll move onto the next hot hand. I don't think you can do that in a deeper league; as Pauly accurately notes, you'll ha e an empty bag in not too long of a time.
I'm just here for the baseball.

Won't really know until he tries to run but he was hitting in a cage. Ausmus still thinks he could be out for a month. Salty is playing great and wouldn't be surprise to see more starts even after McCann is back.
