If I lost 10 mph on my fastball it'd be moving backwards.

I'm not sure what the deal is with Kuo. I had him in my lineup and switched right before the deadline. Guys are supposed to EXCEL when I do that!

Kuo still doesn't look quite right. He's not really finishing his pitches well which could explain his poor control and slight loss in velocity. It was a back injury that sidelined him, so that might be the culprit, but when your arm's as damaged as his is, you always worry.

Padilla looks as locked in as the Dodgers closer as anyone right now. There are no challengers.
After former Broncos quarterback Brian Griese sprained his ankle and said he was tripped on the stairs of his home by his golden retriever, Bella: “The dog stood up on his hind legs and gave him a push? You might want to get rid of that dog, or put him in the circus, one of the two.”

For those who may have missed it, Kuo went on the DL again today, this time for anxiety issues. Not sure what that means or how long it'll keep him out, but it makes Padilla's job that much safer in the short-term.

For those who want to speculate even further, Jansen has been pitching better of late and could be an option. Also, Mike MacDougal has pretty bad peripherals (9 k's, 7 BB's in 12 1/3 IP) but has been able to prevent runs (1.46 ERA) and has closed before (with varying levels of success). It's a bit of a reach, but I'm guessing Jansen and Padilla are already taken in most NL-only leagues.
