I found the situation that occurred in our league to be ridiculous. Team A picked up a player for $5 so went to the back of the list-that we didn't know existed. Team B picked up a player for $4 they then went to the bottom of the list. Both teams then tied on a player at $3 and despite Team B being being lower in the standings the player was awarded to team A because team B supposedly made the more recent pickup. This is simply penalizing a team for picking up a player for a lower bid. All pickups are done at the same time; Sportsline simply processes the higher amount bids a nanosecond before the lower ones. That is not a reason to ignore the league rule that teams lower in the standings should win ties. It negates the rule if a team has made an earlier pickup. This is wrong.

Exactly, they are using a tiebreaker rule when a tie doesn't even exist. Standings should only be relevant when two or more teams tie, and the last place team should only move to the end of the list after that team's position in the standings is actually used as an advantage to break a tie. Instead, even when outright winning the bid for a player, the last place team is still "charged" for it's position in the standings even though it got no use out of it.

Basically CBS is only willing to put the bare minimum effort into their FAAB system, probably just so they can say they offer one in their advertising, despite the fact it is so flawed it probably does not accurately apply to the way any league would WANT their FAAB to run.
Some people say winning isn't everything. I say those people never won anything.

Quitters never win, winners never quit, but those who never win AND never quit are idiots.

The last thing I want to do is hurt you...but it's still on the list.

Some people are like Slinkies, they are not really good for anything but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

Someone should just send the support people a link to this thread. Of course, then they would probably buy RJfix and shut it down so we couldn't continue pointing out the flaws in their software.
