HDID: AL 12 team 5x5

After finishing second the last 3 years the cupboard was pretty bare. Walker 16 and Eovaldi 7 were my only keepers. Other teams had 6-10. Hitting inflation was 10% and pitching inflation was 15 (based on 70/30 split).

After getting McCann and Park early I sat back for a while, until I realized had the most money. I grabbed Seager, Beltre, Andrus and Gray who I thought were solid. My money dried up and I had no OF, so it's pretty terrible for 2016. I looked to find guys who could have value for 2017 (Travis, Pompey, Gallo, Norris).

I made a few mistakes that I will have to overcome to compete this year (Kim). I have been really busy this month and haven't had time to keep up on all player news.

So, how does it look?

That's a lot of money to spend on closers to probably end up with 40 saves if you're lucky.

Everyone has a couple dead spots. I got caught in a bidding war for White.

We had some issues with the CBS auction room freezing periodically for a couple owners. At one point I won AJones $25, but we rolled it back and the second time I had him for $24, and let him go at $25.

Saunders needs to get hurt (almost certain) and the Jays call up Pompey to take over instead of Carrera (not so certain). Park needs to hit (I'm doubtful). One of your bench guys needs to get ABs in the OF to replace Kim. Boxberger needs to come back on schedule, and Colome needs to be shaky enough to get replaced.

Good perspective, Chance. Gallardo and Benoit were 2 guys I wanted late but Norris/Young derailed that. Take aways for next year: be careful with imports and stick to the plan. In the meantime Carrera might be a good FAAB grab. I'm really surprised he's still available.
