  • Aaron Sanchez outlook?

What do you guys think of Sanchez for this year in a 12 team AL only keeper w/QS, S+H's?

I am looking to contend this year. I know there is some risk and potential high reward and even if he pitches well his innings will probably be limited. He did go 6+ inngs in 5 of his last 6 starts last yr)

I'm thinking of trying to trade for him and he is $5 2017

I'm trying to add another decent inexpensive SPer to take in because draft will be weak. Another owner has Karns at $10 and Volquez at $2 I'm considering.

    Thanks

the bellweather for him is how lefties hit off him - last year the numbers weren't good, but it seemed to be different this spring ... I particularly took note over the past 6 weeks when he was pitching against LH ML hitters as opposed to the young guys - he still was getting ahead of hitters & getting them out. I'm cautiously optimistic.
It certainly feels that way. But I'm distrustful of that feeling and am curious about evidence.

If he can regain his minor league K% with starter innings, he could be gold. But if he retains his MLB K%, he won't be the fantasy darling many expect.

I think he's a great guy to take a gamble on at auction but less great of a guy to trade for, if that makes sense.
So of course I love the guy and kept him at 5

Good move, I think. I agree with elD that he has to improve on his walk rate, but that 93-95 MPH sinker is pure evil for hitters.
I'm just here for the baseball.
