  • Is it as bad as I think?

NFBC snake draft results (12 team - my first try at this format). I dont think I like snake drafts very much - I found myself of the wrong end of the second SP run and the second closer run, which had me upset. So much is up to chance in these types of drafts, but hey you live, you learn. Thanks for your input.

    Here's the damage:
    C- Castillo, James McCann
    1B Chris Davis
    2B- Forsythe
    3B- Donaldson
    SS- Alcides Escobar
OF- Cruz, Ellsbury, Heyward, David Peralta, Hanley Ramirez
    MI- Kendrick
    CI- Duda
    UT- Kendrys Morales
Bench: Souza, Olivera, Spangenberg, Trea Turner

SP- Harvey, Lester, Liriano, McHugh, Joe Ross, Hammel
    RP- Familia, McGee, Ziegler
    Bench: Niese, Colon, Clippard

Can you make pickups throughout the year? Trades?

I don't see much speed if Ellsbury doesn't run like he used to, and I'm not projecting him for his SB glory days. You have a ton of power though, and I like the staff.

You need to punt Colon, Clippard and maybe Spangenberg for the flavor du jour on waivers and see if you hit it big. Who's on the wire now?

I project Forsythe, Peralta, Heyward and Escobar to pitch in about 50 or 60 SB, but yeah depending on Ellsbury for most of the rest and Souza I guess. Maybe Hanley. Speed wise on the wire, not much - Gose, Leonys, Jace Peterson but he is the same as Spang.

My first thought was great team but a bit weak on speed. But you don't have to win sbs just get some points.

I would be shocked if this team is not in the hunt for top honors.

Revo makes a good point - you'll need to do some SP waiver wire work, but in a 12-team, you'll have plenty of opportunity. As everyone noted, light on speed, but that's fixable too. You have monster power and good run scoring, solid closers, and decent BA. There's some work to be done, but this team can compete for the top.
I'm just here for the baseball.

I like all of your pitchers better than any of these.

If your pitchers perform as they should/projected you will have a monster team.
