stretch marks are never a good look on a baseball player"You know what's wrong with America? If I lovingly tongue a woman's nipple in a movie, it gets an "NC-17" rating, if I chop it off with a machete, it's an "R". That's what's wrong with America, man...."--Dennis Hopper

I'm kinda of surprised by the surprise here. Panda has never been fit for any sustainable length of time, and that photo doesn't suggest to me he is any fatter than he has historically been in February. I mean, he is who he is--an overweight athlete that can hit fairly well, but who has long under-performed expectations. I think him looking like this now is good for all of you who were gonna bid the dude up on skinny Panda reports--even if he was skinnier now, he'd be about a month of pizzas and pie from being the same old panda again.
Long term, I shudder to think what will come of him health wise when he is done playing ball. I mean, if a dude who is out on the field moving around and exercising every day carries that kind of weight, he is gonna end up bed-ridden in 20 years if he keeps eating like he does now.

As a Sox fan, this is hard to watch and listen to. It's ugly all around and the media is salivating at being able to vilify him and Hanley. He's always been this fat. I don't get it. It would have been nice to see him trimmed up but really who cares if he's hitting .285 on Memorial Day. If he's hitting .235, then we have a problem. Right now, it's what I expected.Find that level above your head and help you reach it.
