    Cubs rumors: Team interested in Jeff Samardzija

    The SCORE radio has the Cubs close to signing Samardzija.

    The problem or scary part for me is that one of the talk show hosts presented a pretty good argument for Samardzija being "the big" free agent signing this off season. The other host made the argument that signing Samardzija does not mean they will not sign Price or Greinke.

    As a Cubs fan I would be very disappointed if Samardzija was the "big sign." I would be very happy if he was the second piece behind Price or Greinke.

      Price to the Cubs makes too much sense. They said they want 2 pitchers this offseason. KCCO.
