I am more surprised that Melancon got 5 fith place votes over deserving starters like Scherzer, DeGrom and Bumgarner. Yes, he got 51 saves, but he wasn't even the best reliever in the NL. The idea that we was better/more valuable than the above named trio is dumbfounding to me.Comment

Yeah McCoy perhaps is anti-stats. But I'm impressed generally with the vote. Kershaw got a respectable 3 first place votes, while his more traditional W-L and ERA stats didn't compare to Greinke or Arrieta. BBWAA old guard being replaced?Comment
