Pretty sure that the Mets' crack medical staff (or is it quack medical staff?) had something to do with it. Complete disgrace. I'm pretty confident that there is one good doctor in NYC somewhere.
Could start by firing the owners and working down from there.

You can criticize the doctors all you want, but the Hospital for Special Surgery is considered one of the best in the nation.

Revo, HSS is indeed a top hospital. But the Mets' track record with health issues is abysmal.
Might be the doctors. Might be the trainers. Might be something else.
Bottom line, however, is the Mets are a poorly run organization with little demonstrated ability to make the most of their assets. I'm a big fan but am disappointed and disillusioned. That said, Harvey day was pretty great today!
Steven Matz may be scratched from his start Wednesday against the Phillies due to stiffness in his right side.
Mets manager Terry Collins hinted at the idea in his pregame chat with reporters on Tuesday afternoon. There should be something more official sometime Tuesday night. This doesn't sound like a serious, long-term problem for Matz, who boasts a 2.27 ERA and 34/10 K/BB ratio through his first 35 2/3 major league innings.
