Josh Hamilton FAAB?

Hamilton will be available in FAAB in my AL-only this Sunday as a team dropped him earlier in the year after drafting him for $9. How much of my $100 should I blow to try to get him? I could certainly use another OF to replace Jarrod Dyson in my lineup. What do we expect from Hamilton in TEX from here out?

That looks about right. .240 is probably the worst case scenario. Josh will be happy and motivated.

Yahoo is projection .264/.327/.458 with 12 HR, 44 RBI.
Steamer (R) is .264/.326/.456, 15 HR, 54 RBI. They might was well be the same prediction. Steamer is in 94 games. His history is more like 75 the rest of the way.

The weird thing is that the Rangers have a shot at winning the division. They are a game out of 2nd and 7.0 back of first. Hamilton is just the sort of thing to stir their drink, and vice versa. Heaven help the Angels when they play.

I'll say it now, hamilton will thrive in texas, not because of anything else but the fact he has a support system there. He's an addict, they need people who understand addiction, Washington did and that's a major reason josh was able to succeed in texas. He WILL relapse, all addicts do, but with the right people around you, you can rebound. I'd wager Hamilton will return close to form by season's end and be a force going into 2016.
