Sanchez, Quintana, McHugh, and Kazmir

    Sanchez, Quintana, McHugh, and Kazmir

    A law firm? No.

    I currently own Anibal Sanchez, Collin McHugh, and Jose Quintana (along with Zimmerman, Carrasco, and Shields) in a 12 team mixed. The innings limit basically make it feasible to only carry 5 starters...or 6 to play matchups a bit.

    Kazmir is on the waiver wire, and I'm asking the Pen on their opinion on the four listed pitchers. Should I grab Kazmir, and how much should I bid on a $100 FAAB? If I do grab him, which starter should I jettison? I've heard some scary things about Sanchez and Quintana I had ranked right above Kazmir to start the season. McHugh just doesn't get a ton of Ks compared to the others. What say the pen?

    I am doing real well in pitching points (5x5) but my hitting is pretty awful, though I'm starting to gain some points.
    Considering his only baseball post in the past year was bringing up a 3 year old thread to taunt Hornsby and he's never contributed a dime to our hatpass, perhaps?

    Sanchez has been gawd awful, so I'd punt him for Kazmir.

      Yeah, Anibal has good K/BB but this is the 2nd year in a row that he kinda forgot how to strand runners. I think he's a safe bet to drop. Whatever magic he had 2 years ago has long since departed his balky shoulder.

        Well.......... do you really want to spend all of your money on pitching when you need hitting? Make a reasonable bid on Kazmir and if you get him great and if not so what? I probably would drop Sanchez from this group to get Kazmir.

          I like that idea Gregg...I'm throwing a bid that probably won't win him, but won't hurt my budget too much if I do win him.

              Might wanna put the brakes on this, Kazmir has shoulder tightness.
