  • Brandon Crawford vs Stephen Drew--Fight!

Who would you rather have, the streaky guy with a solid lock on consistent playing time, or the injury prone enigma with disturbing splits, but with more upside, especially in the much needed power department, especially in the Yankee bandbox?

Crawford easy. He's healthy, for one. And while Drew has more power upside, it really isn't THAT much more. I'd rather get the counting stats from an everyday player. And Crawford's numbers have been steadily rising. He's an example of a good-glove shortstop whose defense keeps him in the bigs until his bat comes around.

Hmm, I suspected this wouldn't be close. I wondered if Drew's recent power surge would make him a consideration if power was the main consideration. But I guess, rightly so, the trust just isn't there for Drew yet.

Crawford will hit close to 15 HRs this year as his power is on the optick. No longer a glove only guy and a very nice MI in NL Only.
