  • NL guys not on opening day rosters that can help me this season

12 Team, NL Only...we have our auction tonight. We hold an auction for active roster players, then a 15 round reserve draft where we can draft anyone not on an AL team roster.

I have a good crop of returning players, and a legitimate shot at doing well this season, but I'm gonna need some help. I'm trying to find some guys (prospects or older MLB players) that are NOT on the NL team opening day rosters, but will help THIS YEAR. Many of the obvious ones, such as Kris Bryant, are already kept on reserve rosters, so I'm looking for a few names that may be a little lesser known, but may contribute this year. Example - Brandon Drury, Az

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Perfect. That was exactly the kind of names I was looking for, and only three were already on keeper lists. Thanks for the help!!

The Dane's got a good list and off of that list here are my favorites:

Tomas - don't think he'll ever play much 3B but if he mashes out of the gate he should be up soon enough either due to injury or trade
Peraza - even if Peterson proves to be major league ready, Atlanta's 3B duo is still weak so Peterson could slide over there to make room for Peraza at 2B
Nola - Phillies don't have much to play for so might as well give the kid a chance by June or so
          Wisler - see Nola
Drury - would have to pull a Lamb and kill it, might get moved to 2B if Lamb keeps it up
Oliveira - he will either need an injury or for Uribe to show his age to get a chance

Andrew Susac and Chris Heston from the Giants are possibilities as well

Melvin is on the DL, I assume DL guys are eligible to be drafted otherwise you are looking at players like Hunter Pence, Jayson Werth, Dernard Span, Kenley Janson, Jose Fernandez etc.
I'm unconsoled I'm lonely, I am so much better than I used to be.

Forgot that part. My brain evacuates draft rules once the season starts lol.

Understandable. When I first read this post I started listed off DL guys but then realized that there are too many good players on the DL to not have them in the auction.
