Matt Cain is almost certainly headed back to the disabled list, but all things considered, Cain and the Giants got good news Monday.

An MRI on Cain's tight right forearm revealed a flexor tendon strain but no ligament damage. Cain will take a few days off from throwing but said the injury "doesn't sound like it should be" major.

"It sounds like it's just a strain," he said. "We'll take it as it is and let it heal up. The trainers seem pretty positive."
