McAllister

i was perusing the waiver wire and saw that McAllister is available. would you drop a $4 Salazar to get him? i know he had a pretty solid spring, just wondering how much value he has based on that.

i have had a few other threads, but for those who don't know my staff, this is it:

anybody to consider dropping for him besides Salazar or Cingrani? it's a daily league and there's no incentive to keeping minor league players as our contract status is strictly based upon yearly salary +$5.

I'd pass on McAllister - that mid 1.3s WHIP will be really destructive. And he doesn't have a dominating K rate that would encourage you to take on that WHIP risk.

McAllister's MPH is up this Spring about 2 mph is more than any other pitcher I could find info on. It's often an indicator of a pitcher about to make a leap. I was all over him as my last $1 filler. He's had a really nice spring to back up the increased velocity. He's worth a flier based on that info, IMHO.
