  • Fangraph projections

Fangraph now uses five projections: Steamer, ZIPS, Oliver, Marcel and a fan consensus.

Which do you like and for what?
Which will you not use at all? Why?
What other free sources have value?

Fantasygameday has the best ADP report, by a wide measure, but it is both late and no longer free.

What sources of ADP would you suggest?

I noticed that in the Steamer projections only one pitcher has 15 or more wins. Does anyone have a good understanding of why that is ?

          Curious - why was/is fantasygameday's the best?

Because projecting wins is junk science and mostly useless.

            Look at the skills

Most places have projections, which color their ADP, or strictly amateur drafters. Also, there is a ton of extra information, such as tiering, and multiple breakdowns. They usually give out the previous year for free. Take a look when it comes up.

My big issue is that my draft starts Monday. We may be 15 rounds in by the time the report is posted.
