According to Anthony DiComo of MLB.com, the Mets are "not in" on Cuban shortstop Yoan Moncada.
Additional items that DiComo did not report in his story:
1) The sky is blue.
2) Rain is wet.
3) The Mets are also "not in" on any worthwhile signing this year (or for the foreseeable future).
Damn Wilpons... If you had to leverage the whole team, SNY, and more to "buy" the team -- you shouldn't have been allowed to buy it in the first place! Shame on you, shame on Bud Selig, and shame on the other owners. It hurts the whole game of baseball to have a franchise in the #1 media market run like this. It's worse than having Jeffrey Loria's approach in Miami (or Montreal) by a country mile.
