I think he can be a solid starter in the near future, but probably a bullpen arm for now.

Per Rotoworld:

Dallas Braden will undergo surgery next Monday to repair a torn capsule in his left shoulder.
The surgery will be performed by Dr. David Altchek in New York City. We won't know a clear timetable until the procedure is completed, but we can probably count him out for the rest of this season and likely the early part of the 2012 season. Tyson Ross will continue to take his place in the starting rotation and should be owned in all AL-only leagues.

So, looks like he'll be gone for a while. Not sure what the long term ramifications are, but I think assuming everything goes well with the surgery and rehab he can contribute again to fantasy leagues sometime in the middle of the 2012 season.
