After his velo looked good all spring, it's kinda been down all year. Very worried about him.

Between him and Corbin struggling and all the COVID, the Nats might be headed towards a fire sale if they can't get things turned around.

I wonder if they do the opposite...they only have so many years (months actually) of Scherzer, Soto and Turner together. Maybe Im a maroon, but why not mortgage some of the future and trade Kieboom, Garcia, maybe an arm or two, and shore up that rotation so they dont let this opportunity go by the wayside? How much would it cost for John Means, for example?

Except they don't have much to trade.

            • Josh Bell looking absolutely overmatched thus far: .134/.200/.293 in 90 PAs. D'oh!

His BABIP is horrible, but even if that improves his power from last year and this year is way down from his big year.

                • Well, just like we knew all along, Patrick Corbin is a giant among men and clearly an elite pitcher.

I have had him active for every bad start and benched for every good start thus far, as far as I can remember. So I got that going for me.....

It certainly feels that way. But I'm distrustful of that feeling and am curious about evidence.

I'm going to keep benching him so he can build up trade value, because every time I start him, he sucks. But he is lights out on my bench.

Ok, so you are the key. You need to keep starting him, because clearly correlation is causation here and baseball makes rational men superstitious cavemen (at least in my case).
