He needs to go back to what worked for him--contact over power. He showed so much promise, it is hard to believe he can't rediscover it. But this move was needed at this point.

Yeah, yikes. Of course, I found out after games had already started and lineups locked. However, Hiura is probably doing better for my starting lineup being down in AAA than he was in the bigs anyway....

Agree, and he also needs reps - and a lot of them - at 1B to turn into a competent first baseman.
