And has Edward Olivares’ outlook dimmed because of KC’s acquisition of Benintendi etc? Or did it dim and that’s why KC got reinforcements?
Olivares is killing it in AAA

Taylor is an exceptionally good defensive CF. In his case, the eyetest sure seems to line up with saber defensive metrics. If there was a knock on him in the past, it was that he had a below average arm. He's made some real improvements in that area, too. You'll see some say he's the best defensive CF in the league right now. I'm not sure I'd go that far, but top 10%...yup.

        • Saw that. Wish I had some FAAB remaining.
Spent the last of it on Danny Santana. Don’t need Olivares but like his upside.

          • He's baaaaack!
The Royals once again called up Edward Olivares and he's playing RF Sunday.

            • The Royals place 2B Adalberto Mondesi on the 10-day IL with a left hamstring injury.

And RP Josh Staumont was activated Sunday.

                • There seems to be more going on. As noted a couple posts up.

Royals recalled OF Edward Olivares from Triple-A Omaha.

Advice: The 25-year-old was recently called up for a brief stint, going 4-for-11, but was quickly sent back to Triple-A. Olivares will now return to replace Adalberto Mondesi on the roster, who was placed on the injured list with a left hamstring strain. It is unknown how long the young outfielder could remain with Kansas City, but he is in the starting lineup on Sunday and playing right field.

Sweet. We have a guy in my AL-only with a mancrush on him, and I just landed McClanahan for Oliveras.

Thanks - was following your advice earlier. I ended up being unable to do the deal - I couldn't have fielded a legal roster if I'd dealt Hays - and since then, he's moved into rebuild mode also.

                        • Jackson Kowar gets obliterated in his debut, with some ignominious facts:
                          - first starter to throw three wild pitches in his debut since Tim Wakefield in 1992
                          - shortest debut by a Royals SP in their history

                          • Was anyone stupid enough to start him?

                            Besides me.

Not me but he was activated in our league.
