    He is not to blame. Mercedes does not know how to lay off a pitch. He does not listen to instruction.

        I was worried about Mercedes' mental health after that ominous message. I'm sure having a trash manager like Tony La Russa doesn't help matters. Rooting for Mercedes. White Sox winning despite TLR, not because of.

          Mercedes not only has not retired but in fact is hitting well at AAA. He went 3-for-5 with a HR on Sunday and is now slashing .329/.382/.686 since being sent down.

                        So, now that Kimbrel is there, who closes now? I would think Hendrix, since he's the incumbent and has been rock solid. Or will they be co-closers?
