Feels like we need a date range on this one, otherwise I'm going with Hugh Nicol (caught stealing wasn't counted at that time)

In modern MLB history (since 1900).

I seem to remember Kevin McReynolds doing this when he was with the Mets. Not sure if he broke the record or if he still holds it, but in the back of my garbage-filled mind that's the name that popped up.

OK, during the early 20th century, evidently they counted CSs some years and some years they didnt. So the only years that count are those where recorded CSs. So Cobb, who actually got caught a lot, is not the answer.

Very good guess! McReynolds had 21 SBs w no CSs in 1988 but that's only the 2nd most.

Another hint: the record was made in the 21st century.

Thats why I asked for clarification

Since 1951 is probably a good range to ask

The answer is Chase Utley who had 23 SBs w no CSs in 2009.

Keep your eye on Enrique Bradfield. He can do much more than just steal bases. He's likely to go very high in next year's draft.

FYI, Bradfield ended up the season w 46 SBs (tied for 2nd most in Div. 1) and 0 CSs. He will be eligible in next year's draft.

Heard this one on the Pirates radio broadcast when they were playing the Braves:

Which future HOF player did Braves pitcher Will Smith give up a home run to in a high school game?
