  • Biggest Disappointments of the Season

Lucas Giolito -- wow bro, what the heck is goin on here?

    7-6
    5.06 ERA
    1.49 WHIP
    115 Ks

    Previous 3 seasons he averaged a 3.47 ERA with a 1.07 WHIP.

He's definitely sunk a lot of fantasy teams who picked him as their ace.

    Jose Berrios:
    8-4
    5.19 ERA
    1.35 WHIP
    just 107 Ks

    Tyler O'Neill (209 ABs)
yeah he was hurt but cmon man
    .234 BA
    6 HRs

    Ketel Marte (342 ABs)
    .257 BA
    10 HRs
    37 RBIs
    4 SBs

    Javier Baez (356 ABs)
    .225 BA
    10 HR
    41 RBI
    38 R
    4 SBs

JD Martinez is hitting fine, but has just 9 HRs. Fantasy owners don't care that he's on pace for almost 50 doubles.

    Who else you got?

Too many to mention, but Austin Meadows and Myles Straw just to name a couple.

True, but he gets some slack coming back from his injury.

I do think that has a definite effect but he is playing on a regular basis and that BA challenges Gallo.

I reached for Straw this year expecting a good amount of runs and steals from the leadoff spot. Since Mendozaing to start the year he's been dropped to the 9 hole and has stopped stealing and runs have dried right up.

Guess the Astros knew what they were doing. Guardians thought they had found gold evidenced by their contract offer.

I spent $19 on Meadows. Kept Rendon for $16. Also Schoop and Hernandez. Let's just say this was the worst hitting team I ever put together.

Gotta add Franmil Reyes, who was just DFA'd today

Wander Franco. I owned multiple shares and expected 400-500 AB and 20-20 as the floor.

Shane Baz is another disappointment, although it's injury related.

I had mile high expectations for Kris Bryant playing in Coors Field this season. But, injuries have caused his numbers to lose altitude.

Yup, he was very disappointing relative to his draft capital, but other highly touted shortstops have been much worse.
