that is a solid group. Guessing it will be a hitter with Arozarena, Mountcastle or Adolis leading the pack. Although Clase has some nice numbers. Hard to pick a clear winner.

Luis Garcia takes it for me. Adolis and Arozarena come close. Mountcastle not close. If the season was a month longer, Wander would take it.

Funny, before I looked at this, I thought Mountcastle would take it easily. But now I'm thinking he comes up a little short.

I also hadn't realized Clase still had rookie eligibility. He's a major contender, IMO.

Mountcastle has the best counting stats. Why no love for him?

His team is awful, plays in a hitters park, and gets little to no press. I like him as a fantasy option for next year - he had a terrible April, but turned it around and I think has upside to his numbers from this year.

But I don’t think he gets the votes on a media-driven award.
I'm just here for the baseball.

Why should a teams record be a factor?

Fielding and base running matter, too. Mountcastle isn’t really close to the other couple hitting candidates. He’s been worth, what, one win?

                    Because some voters value that.

My underperforming team scooped up Garcia/McClanahan/Skubal/Mize from that list for a combined $20. (& Franco)
Excited to see what the future holds for this group in the rotation.

Franco would have run away with this had he been up all year. As it were, he may still do really well in the final vote.

I see Wander not Mountcastle listed as a finalist online. And I see Luis Garcia, not Adolis.
