Springer is a forever keeper in round 20. He'd also be a trade chip if I wanted to make a blockbuster with a dumper later in the season.

Last year pick 124 was Alex Verdugo, pick 71 was Kris Bryant, pick 98 was Kenley. I countered with pick 98. So, for value purposes, it's

    Get: Urias Springer Kenley
    Give: Riley Bryant

    Ottawa Triple Eh's | P.I.M.P.S. | 14 team keep forever
    Champions 16,21 | Runner up 17,19-20

The FOS (retired) | MTARBL | 12 team AL 5x5
    Champions 01,05,17 | Runner up 13-15,20

I guess the hitters are safer in a keep forever league, and Urias did have a major shoulder injury. That said, he defied my expectations at least last year and was a relative workhorse. The trade is still a close one but I do like it for you. (Both Kenley and Bryant raised their stock considerably this last season so they're probably not too representative of their last season slots anymore.)

Checking in again. I likely have to choose between these deals. Do I want:

Baz in the 10th for a swap of draft picks
        OR
Urias top 4 + Springer 20th round forever for Riley top 4 and a swap of picks?

I do like the Urias/Springer side, what would the swap of picks be?

            He'd do 71 for 101. I have 70-71 and want to keep them. I'd rather 98 for 124.

Ok, so the trade deadline is 2 weeks away. Based on this year's ADP, the trade would be:
              98 Haniger
              154 D.Carlson
              for
              123 Hoskins
              139 Baz

with Baz a keeper in the 9th round next year, moving up a round each year. Thoughts?

My thoughts are that this is a pretty even trade. If you are going to bet on a rookie pitcher, Baz is a good one.

Our league loves rookies and this would be considered a good deal for the team getting Baz. So I am a bit biased. I would make the deal.

I agreed to the deal. I read this forecast and couldn't let Baz slip through my fingers. Thanks to those who chimed in.
