Had a deal in place sending Alex Bregman (keeper for two more years cheap) and Nolan Gorman for Gerrit Cole, rental. Next I saw a deal done on our site and it was Cole for Kelenic straight up. A deal isn't done till it is done on the site, so I can't get too mad, but as much as I love Kelenic, I prefer guys who have shown in the majors. To me, passing on two cheap years of Bregman and Gorman thrown in for Kelenic is a gamble. Could pay off, though. Ironically, I dealt Kelenic last year for Bregman. My league loves the Next Best Thing.

The owner has slipped down to 6th place. We pay 4 places. He is 5.5 points out of of 4th and 7 points out of third.

4th pays about $300-$350.00. He would rather finish out of the money and keep Kelenic.

He has stated that his 10F Kelenic is untouchable. He is free next year if he doesn't reach 130 abs.

Longest hitless stretches by non-pitchers in MLB history:

            Chris Davis 2018-19 - 54
            Eugenio Velez 2010-11 - 46
            Bill Bergen 1909 - 45
            Dave Campbell 1973 - 45
            Craig Counsell 2011 - 45

            Jarred Kelenic 2021 - 39 and counting

gonna be very tough to catch Davis, but the others might take only two games upon his return

Kelenic still might turn out to be a superstar, but not one stud in MLB history ever had a streak like this - even early in their careers

Eugenio Velez... now there’s a name from the fantasy baseball dustbin.

OTOH, all the ones other than Chris Davis cost about 100 times less while going hitless.
I'm just here for the baseball.
