Judge Jude - I'd rather have Chisholm in today's world over Hayes. The SB value wins it for me.
I'm just here for the baseball.

this is where I am. a MI who can steal 20 bases - or more - and has some pop and is very young and still might get better...

and the price of 5 next year, then 10 and 15 in 2023-24 also appeals. everything beyond SB is gravy - and there will be gravy.

The real news here is that if you are a Lastings Chisholm owner, you should be selling high right now.

this is done, for a new particular reason:

this owner's team is on an absolute rampage.
not even in first place a week ago, now leads by 15.5 points.

            in last 4 days: .339-14-33-38-2
            3 W, 3.00 ERA. 1.111 Ratio

he has Starling Marte on the mend and Pham may be awakening from his slumber and KHayes is about to return.

felt like the possible end of a trade window - leader may get complacent and rivals may get frustrated.
2nd-place team is now closer to 9th than 1st, for example.

So you got Chisholm and not Rogers or Hayes right? Congrats to you. What was the cost?

                TTurner and Blackmon

now I'll deal Nola, maybe with Gregorius or Segura, for another cheap young bat and call it a season (other than chasing a closer off the FA bin and having the first pick and a mid-rounder in the 1-round July 15 farm draft)

                    Good job.

Blackmon has no value for you; maybe as a trade piece later if he rebounds but he's basically a throw-in on your end. So, this is for all intents Turner for Chisholm which is a nice deal for both sides.

fyi, as Lux heats up - he is owned by the lone current co-owned team (no co-owned team has ever won this league; go figure).

one wanted to explore trade talks along these lines, the other didn't.

                      I moved on.

                        got another nibble:

I give Aaron Nola 32-S2 and TWalker 10-S2 for Flaherty - 15-O in 2022 and done - and Mitch White 5-S2 (mostly a throw-in at this point)

I do expect to try to win it all in 2022. and he gets 2 good SPs for 1 really good one...

Cardinals say Jack Flaherty was removed from tonight's contest because of left side tightness. Will update more when we know.

                        ...............

(I acquired Jazz officially on Thursday, and he has yet to play due to injury. my trade partner is bummed because he has the July 15 pick of the only team poor enough to "catch me," so I'm cool with them being cautious with Jazz until - July 16, when I put it in Drive and try to get as close as possible to 6th at end of season and the first pick in April 2022)

                              even after this Flaherty injury?

I think that actually benefits me, if we assume it's irrelevant to 2022.

this owner is in second place as June begins in a pennant race of:
                              85.5 74 72 71 68.5 64.5

                              T-1st in W, 1st in ERA and WHIP, 4th in K, 5th in SV
SP staff of Burnes Gausman (Flaherty) Gallen and soon, Gonsolin [Widener IL, Keller released]

if Flaherty will miss some real time, he needs Nola in there to steady the ship
now if I'm also giving him likely keeper Walker, I want more than just Flaherty, don't I?
(funny, before Flaherty's injury, did this guy even need 2 SP for 1?)

The cost goes down cuz of the injury, Nola who is fully healthy for an unhealthy flaherty, plus he’s trying to win
